Situated at the far west end of Lochcarron in a quiet rural location on the edge of the village, Big Dan's Croft and Wellington's View are fully centrally heated detached one-bedroom bungalows. each providing superior holiday accommodation for 2 people. They are located down a short private tarmac drive off a quiet side road and are therefore well away from any traffic noise.
The lounge in Big Dan's Croft benefits from plenty of light as it is south facing with windows on three sides and looks out over a spacious well tended garden with a lower level which contains a small loch in which holiday guests are very welcome to try their hand at some fishing. Through the trees there are superb views of Loch Carron and the mountains to the south.
Wellington's View is on the same site as Big Dan's Croft and provides similar accommodation, albeit that it has a rather more secluded position. Outside, Wellington's View has a very attractive decked area. The property stands in an elevated position and enjoys probably one of the best views in the whole area, looking up the length of Loch Carron with Fuar Tholl (known to all locals as "Wellington") clearly in view in the distance.
There is ample parking space. Well behaved dogs, maximum 2, are very welcome by prior arrangement and at no extra cost.
Lochcarron is situated in Wester Ross on the west coast of the Scottish Highlands, some 63 miles due west of Inverness, the capital of the Highlands. It stands amidst some of the most magnificent mountain scenery in the British Isles and the whole area is a paradise for all those who love the outdoors, whether it be for activities such as walking, climbing, cycling, fishing, sailing and diving, or simply for touring around and enjoying the beautiful views which present themselves at almost every turn. Wildlife of all kinds is to be found in abundance, so it's important to make sure you bring your camera and binoculars!
